This turkey keeps showing up in our parking lot at Ashley Mac's.

Frozen Trees
We got 10 inches of new powder overnight and then it was bright and sunny day for us to ski in--it doesn't get much better than this!
A couple of extra pictures from today...I just couldn't decide which ones I liked best!

Cowboy Downhill
During a break from ski school, we watched the Cowboy Downhill race. The cowboys raced down the course, made this jump and then had to rope a cowgirl and put a saddle on a horse before crossing the finish line. The crazy thing was that quite a few of these guys had never been on skis before!

Who's Behind that Mask?
I'm leaving EARLY tomorrow morning to go skiing for a week in Steamboat Springs, CO. As I was packing tonight, I thought I would try on some of my gear. Don't wory mom, my head is not going to get cold!

The Big Snowstorm of '08!
After much ballyhoo (and little sleep from me since I woke up every couple of hours to see if the snow was here yet), we finally got some snow today. It was beautiful while it was here.

7 Dresses!
I went to see the movie 27 Dresses tonight with a bunch of girls. These girls were brave enough to show up in their old bridesmaid dresses! It was a fun movie and a fun night!

Strawberry Cakes anyone?
I really had nothing to do with making the cakes today besides flipping a few out of their pans but I thought I would get your mouths salivating a little. And this was just a fraction of the cakes Ashley and Wanna made today! I promise to introduce Ashley, Wanna, and all of Ashley Mac's soon.

Meet one of my new "toys" I got for Christmas--the Gorilla Pod--probably one of the coolest camera accessories I have seen in a long time. I got this Gorilla Pod and one a little bit smaller that is made for point and shoot cameras and I love using them! Being able to hook them on to just about anything to get a good steady shot is just cool!

I got to ride my bike today! It was glorious! It was a little chilly but beautiful outside and I couldn't stand not getting out there. Also, my bike has missed me.

Several of us headed to John Ed and Matthew's apartment for a game night tonight. I got my tail whooped playing Phase 10. This is what Matthew looked like most of the time (and no, he didn't win either; Julie Bell Brewster was en fuego).

I went to see the movie The Bucket List tonight and it made me think about this sign in my house. How different would our lives look if we lived it everyday rather than waiting for something big to happen or someone to be around or..?

Tonight I went to dinner with Laura and Sarah to celebrate Sarah's 30th Birthday (a couple of days late!) since both Laura and I couldn't make it to her original party. This is the fancy shmancy dessert they ordered. Happy 30th Sarah!

This sign on the Iguana Grill door always makes me laugh. It makes me sad when others in our party won't play along and open the door by "PUSH(ing) HERE."
p.s. Thank you Julie for demonstrating how it is done

I stepped out on my back porch to try to take a picture of the lightning tonight (I'm not really sure how to take pictures of lightning but it was a good idea!). The lightning was over by the time I got outside and all setup but there was this eerie glow outside as I looked up the hill behind my house.

January 1, 2008~Pensacola Beach, FL
Happy 2008! I found myself sitting at one of my favorite places in the world (on Pensacola Beach) watching one of my favorite things (fireworks) this New Year's Eve. I don't know what I was really expecting for my New Year's Eve, but the fireworks ended up being a great ending to 2007 for me. Good friends, good conversation, fireworks, and sand...what else do you need?
